상대가 먼저 물어볼 정도로 잘 만든 제품

 

스크린샷 찍는 것에 대체 누가 몇만원이나 (혹은 매달 몇천원씩) 지불한다는 말인가, 라는 생각을 하는것이 일반적인 상식이다. 그 누구도 첫 스크린샷을 돈내고 찍지 않는다.

 

그러나 내가 나는 4만원짜리 스크린샷 툴 CleanshotX 을 사고나서 단 한 번도 후회하지 않았다. 그 어떤 툴보다도 강력한 도구이다.

 

주관적인 이유는 많이 있지만, 그보다 훨씬 객관적인(?) 지표도 있다. 여러분은 단 한 번이라도, 생전 단 한 번이라도... "그거 무슨 툴이예요?"라는 질문을 들어본 적 있는가? 나는 CleanshotX 을 쓰면서, 직접 센 것만 해도 17번을, 다른 사람들에게 질문받았다. 그거 뭐냐고, 스크린샷 그거 어떻게 하는 거냐고. 개발자, 디자이너, PO, ... 직군을 막론하고 수많은 동료들이 이 도구의 이름을 물었다. 

 

물론 그 중에 태반은, 윈도우즈에서 지원하지 않거나, 가격이 있다는  이유로, 실제 구매까지는 이어지지 않았으리라. 그럼에도 불구하고, 그런 질문을 간간히 받는다는 것만으로도, 이 도구가 얼마나 멋있고 유용하고 또 실제로 가치를 만들어내는지 충분히 증명이 되었다고 생각한다.

 

친한 후배가 새로 입사하게 된다면 슬리퍼나 꽃 대신 CleanshotX 을 선물하라.

I have used CleanshotX for almost 1.5 years and I am so proud of
myself who found this awesome tool.

There's obvious evidence of such feelings. My colleagues often ask
me—" what screenshot tool do you use? It looks so fancy and helpful."
Perhaps because I used a lot of features of CleanshotX such as arrows,
texts, highlights, mosaic, numbers, and so on.

One day I noticed that this was my first (and maybe last) experience
that someone asked me about a tool that I use and I started counting.
17 people have asked me "What is that" until now. What a random joy of
life! I used a lot of apps on my MacBook and no other tool got such a
glory yet.

I don't use the subscription version because the current version
(4.6.2) is enough for me. So basically introducing CleanshotX helps me
nothing. But it's so happy to share the app name that I keep doing
this.

Thank you for such an amazing app. Who could imagine that it is worth
buying a screenshot application?
